The short version
When New York turns cold, the question is usually not whether to go south but how far. Palm Beach, Miami and the islands beyond are all possible answers. Each is a different kind of trip, and the difference starts with the border.
Destinations and airports in this note are examples, subject to the operator.
Staying in the United States
A flight from New York to Florida is a domestic flight. US rules allow only US carriers to operate it.
Around Miami, several airports serve business aviation. Miami-Opa Locka Executive and Miami Executive are two that Miami-Dade Aviation lists among its general aviation airports. Fort Lauderdale Executive, to the north, is run by the City of Fort Lauderdale. The operator chooses the airport that suits the aircraft and the day.
On the New York side, Teterboro and Westchester County Airport both serve business aviation. Our note on choosing a New York private airport covers the difference.
Leaving the United States
A flight to an island outside the United States adds a step at each border. US Customs and Border Protection requires passenger information for private and charter flights leaving and entering the country. The operator sends it, not the passengers, so the operator will need each traveller's details before the flight.
Each traveller also needs the documents the destination asks for. Check them early.
Please do not send passports or IDs through our inquiry form, and we never ask for them by email or phone. When the operator needs them, they go only through the carrier's own secure upload or an encrypted link that expires, and we delete our copy after the trip.
The whole trip
The flight is the shortest part of a winter week. The same point of contact can hold the car at each end, the house or hotel, a day on a yacht and the dinners. Tell us what kind of week you want, not only where.
What to send
The dates, and how fixed they are.
The number of travellers, and their luggage.
Whether anyone in the party needs extra time or help at the airport.
Where you start in New York, and where you want to end up.
Anything that matters: a quiet arrival, a car that is already waiting, a table on the first night.
Nothing is reserved until you accept written terms.
How Narook arranges flights
For flights, Narook acts as an air charter broker and as your agent. Narook is not a direct air carrier, does not own or operate aircraft and does not hold operational control of any aircraft. Every flight Narook arranges is operated by a properly licensed direct air carrier that holds operational control of the aircraft.
Before you enter a contract for a flight, Narook tells you in writing the name of the carrier that will operate it, the capacity in which Narook is acting, and whether Narook holds liability insurance covering you, your passengers and your property on the flight, with its limits. We also give you in writing any business relationship between Narook and the carrier, the total cost, and any fees third parties will charge you directly.
Sending an inquiry does not reserve an aircraft. A flight is arranged only once the operating carrier has made a binding commitment and you have accepted the written terms. Aircraft, times and routes mentioned on this site are examples; the operating carrier confirms them for each flight.
