Why a yacht
Miami Art Week 2026 runs from November 30 to December 6, according to the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau. Art Basel Miami Beach, organized by Art Basel, holds its public days from December 4 to 6, after private days, by invitation only, on December 2 and 3.
A week like that is full of rooms and crowds. A yacht offers the opposite: a private place on the water to start the day, receive a few guests, or close an evening away from the noise.
Three different requests
Before anyone looks for a vessel, decide which of these you want.
Days on the water. The yacht is a place to spend part of a day, between the fair and the dinners.
Evenings aboard. The yacht is where you host: drinks, a dinner, a conversation that needs quiet.
A place to stay. The yacht is where you sleep for some or all of the week.
These are different requests. A vessel that suits a long lunch may not suit a week of nights aboard, and the terms differ too. Tell us which one you have in mind, or which mix.
The number of guests matters
On a crewed charter, US law limits how many passengers an uninspected vessel may carry: no more than six on a vessel under 100 gross tons, and no more than twelve on a vessel of 100 gross tons or more. Other limits apply when a vessel is chartered without crew.
So the number of guests you expect, including the evening you host, helps decide which vessels can carry your party. Give us the largest number you expect, not only the core group. Before every yacht charter, the provider confirms to us in writing the vessel's registration, passenger capacity and insurance. No papers, no charter.
